NINA VITRICHENKO PASSED AWAY

Kiev (UKR) / October 02, 2010: The Ukrainian national coach and FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics FIG expert Nina Vitrichenko (UKR) passed away on October 2, 2010 felled by illness.

The news about her death cast sorrow among the international gymnastics family which unanimously acknowledged her personality and capacities. Nina was particularly active in the FIG gymnastics Academies where she shared her know-how to train a whole generation of experts and trainers.

Nina was one of the prominent personalities of the Ukrainian gymnastics and the founder of the famous Kiev School. She was also the mother of Elena, one of the most admired icons of gymnastics and the bronze medallist of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, today the mother of 3.

The FIG President, the Authorities as well as the entire international gymnastics community extend their warmest condolences to Elena, to her family and to her relatives.
